Street dogs face many challenges on the streets of Mumbai, but caring residents help ensure many get the help they need from our partner IDA India, like this dog, who was on the brink of death when she arrived.

At the beginning of October, this dog was seemingly unconscious when her rescuer found her. Fortunately, they quickly brought her to our Deonar Center for help. Once tests were done, treatment was started, and she slowly regained her strength and health.

She responded well and spent three weeks in our care before being released.

Sadly, many dogs like her have to contend with myriad issues, from monsoon rains and excessive heat to being injured by traffic, among other things. Some of them are too weak to cope and collapse like this.

Thankfully, our Deonar Center, which cares for hundreds of animals every day, is prepared to aid them and keep them for as long as they need it.
