In Defense of Animals Offers $2,500 Reward in Horrific Dog Abuse Case
Humphrey’s County Dog found dragged to death
Grenada, Miss. (March 31, 2015) – In Defense of Animals (IDA), the international animal protection organization that operates Hope Animal Sanctuary (HAS) in Grenada, Mississippi, is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the horrific death of a dog who had been tied to the back of a vehicle and dragged to her death.
The dog, now named Hannah, was found two weeks ago in a shallow ditch adjacent to Woodyard Road in Humphreys County, Mississippi. The pictures clearly depict a rope tied around her right rear leg, burn marks caused by pavement on her body, and tire tracks which stop where Hannah’s body was left.
Kimi Fuller, board member of Belzoni Animal Rescue Kennel in Belzoni, Mississippi said, “Although nothing will bring Hannah back or make up for the pain she suffered, we are hopeful that someone will come forward with information which will give at least a small measure of justice for her.”
Anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the horrendous death of Hannah should contact Hope Animal Sanctuary by calling or texting Director Doll Stanley 662-809-4483 or Operations Manager Sharon Stone 662-466-0906.
