Hi! He’s Arlin and I’m Percy. He’s the sheep and I’m the donkey. Since I’m the big guy, I speak for both of us. Like many other horses and donkeys rescued by In Defense of Animals (IDA) this past year, I was starving and near death from neglect when rescue workers from IDA’s Hope Animal Sanctuary found me. Arlin had gotten loose at a fueling station in Winona, MS and led a chase that lasted for days. When Arlin was finally captured, some people involved actually wanted to shoot him and mount his head on the wall as a trophy! IDA wouldn’t ever let that happen to us.
