Hello everyone, my name is Lola. One day I was just out and about sniffing some clover. Unbelievably, I found myself trapped by a hoarder who chained me outside, where I stayed for a long time with dozens of other dogs and even cats, all of us on short chains with nothing to eat and no one to take care of us. Who knows how long I was trapped there! Then one day some people from In Defense of Animals’ Hope Animal Sanctuary came to save us! The lady that had trapped us did not want IDA to take us and she grabbed my collar and choked me so hard I almost passed out. A very brave IDA team member knew that I did not deserve to be treated his way. She stepped between me and the angry woman and protected me. She cut that collar off right there and took me to the safety of the sanctuary. Before too long a very nice man who works for IDA asked me to live with him. Now we spend lots of time riding around in his truck for work and that’s my new favorite thing to do! The people at In Defense of Animals were able to rescue me because they knew that many people support their work and wish to see other animals rescued from terrible hoarding situations.
