Demand Maximum Sentencing for Man Caught Sexually Abusing an Animal & Having Child Porn in Louisiana

This alert is no longer active, but here for reference. Animals still need your help.

Police have arrested another man for the sexual abuse of an animal and for having thousands of images and videos of child pornography in Bossier, Louisiana. Please urge the district attorney to pursue maximum sentencing in this case.

In March, a tip led the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office to arrest Nathan Mann for possession of pornography exploiting juveniles and an animal. The search warrant executed at Mann's residence uncovered 106 pornographic images of children and 3,248 images and videos depicting the sexual assault of an animal.

In Defense of Animals

Mann is in custody at Bossier Max with a bond of $1 million.

Those who target the most vulnerable members of society must be held accountable. In 2021, we urged strong sentencing for Terry Yetman who was accused of similar crimes; he was sentenced to 20 years in prison, in addition to 20 years on the one count of possession of child pornography to be served concurrently. Hopefully, Mann will feel the same weight of the court.

Letter to Decision Maker(s) for reference:

Subject: Maximum penalties in a case involving child and animal sexual abuse

I’m writing to support the prosecution of Nathan Mann, who was arrested in March when the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant that uncovered the sexual abuse of an animal plus the possession of 106 pornographic images of children and 3,248 images and videos of the sexual abuse of an animal.

It’s horrifying to consider those who would intentionally exploit and harm the most vulnerable members of our society, and I sincerely hope that your office will do everything in its power to hold Mann accountable for his crimes. I ask that he be denied any deal, mandated to psychological counseling, and prevented from being around animals or children in the future.

Thank you for your consideration of this important matter.

Sincerely,

Signed
