39 Days of Rescue - Tabitha

I’m Tabitha!

I am one happy–go-lucky princess! I was found wandering in an industrial area in Jackson, Mississippi when a traveling vendor spotted me. I was hurt and very scared, and the eye on my left side was injured and didn’t work anymore. The nice man knew right away I needed help. He scooped me up, put me in his van, and rushed me to a rescue center where the In Defense of Animals’ Justice for Animals Campaign Director Doll Stanley was working to bring other like-minded groups together to help other animals just like me.

I was in really bad shape; my left eye was too badly injured and had to be taken out, and I had to be treated for heartworms, a long and costly process. The shelter had so many needy animals that day that I was very lucky indeed to have been helped by people so dedicated to saving innocent lives no matter their circumstances. I’m much better and all recovered, and I’m now looking for a new forever home with guardians who will understand that, at heart, I am really a princess and should be treated as such. We can’t all be royalty but we all deserve a chance at a happy and healthy life. Please donate to In Defense of Animals today and help the wonderful people there to discover the next princess in need of saving.
