We’re Rudy & Happy!

Hi! I’m Rudy and the good looking girl in front of me, she’s Happy. Both of us were saved from a very bad place in South Korea. It’s a place where they kill dogs to eat! I was very frightened as I watched awful things happen to the other dogs day after day.

Then one day a very nice woman came and said that the good people at In Defense of Animals had secured a place for me! I could hardly believe it when she led me out of there, and I was still afraid that someone might come and take me back to that awful place.

I was taken to a local doctor and I heard him say that I had heartworms.  I did not know what that meant but the woman looked very sad, so I knew it was not good news.

Soon, I was on a big airplane that took me to an even bigger place with so many people there! All of a sudden, I saw four smiling faces peering at me in my crate and speaking softly. They said that I was beautiful! I had never heard that before but I realized that I was safe at last.

I am now at In Defense of Animals’ Hope Animal Sanctuary and will be having heartworm treatment very soon and then I will be ready for a home of my very own.
